Midwest Psychedelic: Psilocybin Assisted Therapy Intensive Training
Led by Ann Bethune, LCSW and Dr. Hayley Fox (CPC Practitioners)
Small Cohort Training | Begins January 2026
Event Description
The Psilocybin Assisted Therapy Intensive Training is a comprehensive, practitioner-focused educational program designed for licensed medical and mental health professionals practicing in Missouri. This training is led by Ann Bethune, LCSW, and features Dr. Hayley Fox, LMHC, both Caring Practitioners Circle members. The curriculum offers a rigorous foundation in ethical, legal, and clinical considerations for psilocybin-assisted therapy.
This intensive program includes 50+ hours of training, combining live, synchronous instruction with self-paced asynchronous learning over a 4–5 month period. Live sessions take place across four weekends and emphasize applied learning through lecture, discussion, and simulation-based skill building.
The curriculum covers core domains of psychedelic-assisted therapy, including:
Research, neuroscience, and historical perspectives on psychedelics
Ethical considerations and risk reduction
Patient screening, preparation, and informed consent
Facilitation principles for individual and group settings
Integration frameworks to support lasting insight and meaning-making
The training is specifically aligned with Missouri’s legislative requirements. Upon completion, participants will receive a consent form that meets Missouri’s legal standards for psychedelic-assisted therapy, provided for personal professional use.
This program is open to the following Missouri-licensed professionals:
Physicians (MD, DO)
Clinical Psychologists (PhD, PsyD)
Fully licensed master’s-level clinicians (LCSW, LMFT, LPC)
Advanced practice nursing and medical providers (DNP, APRN, PMHNP, PA)
Midwest Psychedelic Training is an affiliate partner of Beckley Retreats, offering an optional practicum experience that includes preparation, a legal psilocybin retreat abroad, and structured integration. Participation in the practicum is optional and involves additional costs.
This training has been approved to offer 30 APA Continuing Education credits for psychologists through the Spiritual Competency Academy.
This program is educational in nature and does not constitute therapy, medical treatment, or licensure to practice psychedelic-assisted therapy independently.
